ROLE IN U-R-SAFE: Responsible for the system study, development of event detection and of data communications modules. Development together with Teletel, of the Ultra Wide Band Relay Network, the Ultra Wide Band WLAN and the System Hands-over between residential network, Public Network and worn body WLAN. Prototyping of Personal Base Station including GPRS (resp. UMTS) functionality).

CSEM is an applied research and development company involved in the design and development of micro- and miniaturised systems for industry. It has 370 employees (mainly engineers and scientists) on two sites (Neuchâtel and Zurich in Switzerland). The main technical areas are the following:

  • design, development and manufacturing of microstructures made on Silicon (micro-sensors, micro-actuators, micro-structures, etc.),
  • design of very low power integrated circuits,
  • design and development of specific solutions for micro-optics, micro-imagers and bio-sensors,
  • system engineering.
